My song "The Door" is ranked #2 today on the
Southern Rock chart today at OurStage.com, a music business-driven competition
site in partnership with Sony Music, MTV and CMJ - College Music Journal, which
puts out the College Music charts. In
the competitions, people wishing to judge are given two songs from two
different artists, and must listen to both songs in their entirety, from start
to finish, and then choose the one they prefer. Songs winning higher numbers of
these individual one-on-one judgings move up the chart. For this reason, OurStage is considered one
of the few legitimate new music competition sites on the internet.
I make and play music because I
love it. But I feel this level of presitgious, national-level recognition needs to be shared with you, my friends and fans, because I wouldn't have made it to this day to read this news without you.
